Horst's LEGO Auction II: Payment Options

The following international payment options can be accepted:

Cash
Send US$ or equivalent amount of DM bills to me, at your risk, insured or not. This option is only recommended for small (up to US$50) amounts, as the risk (or alternatively the cost of the transaction) is too high for transfers of larger amounts of money.
Check
Send me a check made in US$ or DM, adding to the amount payable whichever fee your bank will charge my bank when the check gets cleared from Germany, plus US$1.80 or DM3.00, which is the fee on my side to get the check cleared. This option is preferred for transactions within Europe, in the variant of sending an Euro Check made for me in DM.
Bank Transfer
Instruct your bank to transfer the amount payable to my account in Germany. To speed up this process, this can be done as a wire transfer, which will cost you a higher fee. No fees are involved on my side. It may help your bank to identify what you want them to do if you mention the keyword "TIPANET". Of course, for transactions withiun Germany, this is a very cheap and convenient option.
Money order -- all countries
At a post office or American Express bureau, buy an international money order, and send it to me. You pay the fee they charge you. No fees will be charged on my side. Unfortunately, I cannot accept international money orders from other vendors, since most of them don't have accounts here in Germany, which means there would be steep fees involved on my side, to get the money order cashed in.
Money order -- proxy scheme for the USA
If you are located in the USA, the preferred way is to use a cheap domestic money order, which you have to make for, and send to, a friend of me in the USA. A detailedescription of how this works, and which fees you will have to pay, is available here. If you have concerns about sending money to a third party, extensive references are available upon email request.

As I don't want to publish my snail mail contact and account information on the web, please contact me by email once you have decided for an option, and I will gladly send you all data needed for the transfer. If none of these options meets your needs, or you wish to get references before sending money to me, or if you have any other questions concerning my auction, then also please contact me by email.

For shipment charges see the auction rules, point 3.
