Horst's LEGO Auction II: Rules
- All bids must be made by email, as (preferrably threaded) replies to the announcement (posting in rec.toys.lego or email to you personally) to the email address given in the Reply-To header (Horst_Lehner@myhymer.com).
- All bids are final, and must be made in, or will be converted to, US$, even though I am located in Germany. Reasonable bid increments, please.
- Shipping will cost the buyer a maximum of US$9 for registered ground shipping to any destination worldwide, or insured shipping within Germany. Insured international shipping may be available, depending on destination, but has to be paid by the buyer, at german postal service rates, converted to US$.
- Won items will have to be paid before shipping. As I expect a bunch of international bids, here are the most common ways to pay for won items:
- Buyers from the USA can send their payment (preferrably a money order) to a friend of me in the USA
- Buyers from Europe can send an Euro Check made for me in DM
- Buyers from Germany pay easiest and cheapest by bank transfer
More details on these and some other payment options can be found here. Contact me by email for references, in case you don't feel like sending money to a stranger.
- The status of each item will be advanced in the following sequence, whenever no new bid for it has been received for about three days, starting one week after the official beginning of the auction:
- open --> going1 --> going2 --> sold
After the auction for a certain item has advanced to "sold", the winner and I will go through the following sequence as quickly as possible:
- paid --> shipped --> received
- I will post status updates
- to rec.toys.lego, as threaded replies to the announcement posting, about once a week
- more often to bidders, at least, when items a bidder has bid on changed status, to this bidder
- to interested individuals, in wichever way they specify in their email request
You may also want to check my auction page on the web, which will be updated upon each posting to RTL at least.
- I reserve the right to
- add rules to the auction as appropriate and necessary to conduct it in an orderly and convenient fashion.
- remove or add items to the auction at any time before they have advanced to "sold", so I can still trade parts, if someone makes an offer which seems more appealing to me than money.
