Horst's LEGO Auction II: Sold Items

These are the sold items from my second auction of LEGO sets. The auction consists of Monorail, Train, Town, Technic, and various other sets and parts from Torsten Wernecke and me (Horst Lehner). Bidders who have no more open bids, and do not intend to bid on further items, should contact Torsten or me, with their selection from (or questions concerning) available payment and shipping options. In case a buyer has won sets from both Torsten and me, we will usually send them as one package, to save on shipping cost. Please contact both of us in such cases.

Monorail
6399 Airport Shuttle The only town monorail set ever, this set is a collector's classic. Yet, if you are not the "mint-in-box" type of collector, and want one to play with, here is a used copy, which is 98% complete. (Only missing 2 or 3 small, non-sspecial, parts. Torsten thinks one of it is a flower, but can't recall the others. All monorail parts are included with the set.) Original instructions, but no box, come with this set. More information on this set, including a picture, can be found on LUGNET. 250 kidstone sold (July 10)
6921 Monorail
Accessory Track
This set adds more track to any of the monorail sets. It is new, and comes in its originally sealed (yet a bit shelf worn) box. More information on this set, including a picture of all the parts, can be found on LUGNET. 60 GBChek sold (July 14)
paid & shipped (Aug. 5)
6991 Monorail

This space monorail set comes with lots of track (even two points), and originally consisted of 568 parts, 98% of which are present in this copy. It is used, but comes in its original box. Original instructions are replaced by scanned & color printed ones. More information on this set, including some pictures, can be found on LUGNET, and in this independent review. 110 vanzwie sold (July 26)

9V Trains
4558 Metro Liner Probably the most sought for among the 9V train sets, this train is simply great. Here you have the opportunity to bid on a used one, which might come out a bit cheaper than the sealed copies recently offered. This set is missing some accessory parts (lamps from the platform, some minifigs and minifig bikes), but the train itself is complete with the track oval. Stickers are applied to the parts. Original instructions are present, with their cover a bit worn. More information on this set, including a picture, can be found on LUGNET. 220 poindex sold (July 14)
paid & received (Sept. 17)
4547 Club Car This set makes a great complement to the 4558 Metro Liner, and is at least as rare as the Metro Liner itself. This copy is used, but in good condition. It comes in its original box (with little damage), with original instructions, all parts and all five minifigs. Four of the stickers are applied to the parts, the other two are missing. Some pictures of the set can be found here: 1, 2. More information on this set, including a picture, can be found on LUGNET. 200 WlSEGUY sold (July 10)
4543 Railroad Tractor
Flatbed
This set builds a red flatbed, and a tractor (or backhoe grader) to load onto it. This copy is used without box, but complete and in good condition. However, no instructions and no original box are provided with the set. A picture of this set is available, in a small (9KB) and a large (53KB) version. Railroad
This set builds a cargo train with a nice little red diesel engine, and an assortment of three different cargo cars, which can be loaded and unloaded with a forklift. To get you started quickly, it also has a track oval (but no speed regulator). This copy is used without box, but complete and with original instructions. The forklift is is missing the spring, yet usable. A picture of this set is available, in a small (8KB) and a large (50KB) version. More information on this set, including a picture, can be found on LUGNET. 160 magnew sold (July 10)

4.5V Trains
7715 Push-along
Passenger Train
This set is not strictly a 4.5V train, as it does not have a motor. However, it can be motorized with either a 4.5V or a 12V motor. It has a nice little steam engine, and two passenger coaches. This set is in used condition. It is almost complete, including the track circle and original instructions, but has no original box. It has four of the original five minifigs, and one sticker (the train schedule) is missing. More information on this set, including a picture, can be found on LUGNET. 190 davidb sold (Aug. 6)
paid & received (Nov. 3)
7818 Passenger Coach This car is obviously intended as an add-on for the 7715 Passenger Train, as it follows the same blue/red color scheme. It is used and almost complete (missing one of the two minifigs it originally came with). Stickers are applied to the parts. Original instructions are replaced by scanned & color printed ones. No original box comes with this set. This picture shows what you are bidding on. More information on this set, including a picture, can be found on LUGNET. 120 mid sold (July 14)

Original instructions are replaced by scanned & color printed ones. Original box is present, but in heavily used condition. Some pictures of the set can be found here: 1, 2, 3, 4. 7740 12V Inter-City
Train Set
This set is from 1980, the first year of the newer series of 12V trains, when the gray track was introduced. It is quite sought for, because it has a great variety of useful parts (some of them unique to this set), and because it makes one of the best LEGO passenger trains ever. The set is used, but comes with its (heavily used) original box. It comes with ten (instead of just the original 8) minifigs. On the other hand, the platform has one of its gray plates replaced by three smaller gray plates, but still looks original when built. Stickers, as far as present, are applied to the parts. Original instructions are replaced by scanned & color printed ones. Some pictures of the set can be found here: 1, 2. More information on this set, including a picture, can be found on LUGNET. 300 Bcngyou sold (July 10)

8082 Universal Building Set
"Multi Control"
This set has not only a large assortments of Technic parts, mostly in black, with yellow trim, but contains also two different electric motors: One of the standard Technic motors, and one micro motor. These two motors together can be used to build models with complex movement, remotely controlled via cables and two polarity switches attached to the battery box. More information can be found on LUGNET, and in this independent review. The set is new, with all parts still sealed in their bags, but its box is a bit shelf-worn, and has its seals broken. 125 azv30 sold (July 14)
8460 Pneumatic
Crane Truck
This set builds the most sophisticated Technic Crane Truck ever, from more than 800, mostly yellow pieces. The great building fun and playability of this set comes from an realistic mixture of pneumatic and mechanic movement of different parts of the model. More information can be found on LUGNET, and in this independent review. The set is new, with all parts still sealed in their bags, but its box is a bit shelf-worn, and has its seals broken. 200 thess sold (July 20)

8856 Whirlwind
Rescue Helicopter
This rare set builds a large red rescue helicopter, from more than 500 pieces. Some of the great playability of this model comes from creative use of the flex system. There is an interesting web site which illustrates how some of the rare parts from this set, together with the Super Car suspension parts offered below, can be used to create an even more realistic helicopter rotor system. More information on the set can be found on LUGNET. The set is new, with all parts still sealed in their bags, but its box is a bit shelf-worn, and has its seals broken. 90 ashikaze sold (July 10)

8868 Airtech Claw Rig One of the best Technic sets ever made, this one includes a motor, and lots of pneumatic elements. It has also a wide variety of generic Technic parts, mostly in black, with yellow trim. The motor is used to drive a pneumatic compressor pump, which in turn provides air pressure for all the pneumatic functions of the model (Turning the crane, lifting and lowering the crane arm in two dimensions, and closing and opening the crane claw). This results in the best playability I have ever seen in a Technic model. More information can be found on LUGNET. This set comes in its original box. This set is used, yet complete, with its original instruction booklet and box. 250 thess sold (July 20)
